Front Rotors

ok here is what i am looking for.........a stock replacement rotor, drilled/and or slotted............i just want a good high performance rotor that i can use my stock calipers, AND i want to stay factory size incase i get the 15" skinnies.....what have you guys had good luck with? I need a rotor that will hold up to HEAVY braking from speeds over 100 mph, which the stock rotors cannot handle. thanks

well i need some opinions if i go with a setup like that..........what are your guys preferences, drilled or slotted?..........i drag race, so it is just go fast, then slam on the brakes, no corner carving for me, but they still need to be able to last on the street.

didnt click on the kit, i assume its the stoptech stage II kit? i have that kit on my car, i can also sell it to you.

What do i think of the kit. its good for what it is. i road raced my car on the stock setup and found no problem with the stoping ability on it, and thats from 130mph, the problem was heat, after the first couple laps they were so hot and the fluid would boil, pedal would just fade. thats is not an issue at the strip, your doing 110 maybe, they will hold fine, not even getting that hot. But either way its a good kit, the braided lines will make your brake pedal feel a lot more solid even on the street. as for drilled or slotted, i got drilled cuase i like the looks, neither one is better then the other for your use.

the problem i have is the rotors becoming too hot, glazing the pads, and the rotors becoming warped, badly..........i also do a little street racing, and we usually have to get on the brakes VERY hard afterwards (rarely do i street race, but sometimes it just happens)...........i am wanting a setup that can stand the heat, not warp (no i do not slam on the brakes before i hit water lol), and still be factory size for maybe a future 15" front wheel.

then get the stop tech kit. its is good. drilled or slotted depending on what you like. if thats to much let me know, its a good kit, i can get you some off on that bren price and i can piece it together for you. that isnt a real kit from stoptech anyway they peiced it together.

Bunch of questions: How long have you had them? Driven in rain? Rust? What pads? How's the noise? Thx...

go on ebay and get a set of front & rear drill/ slotted rotors with brakes pads all around for about +/- $200-$300. Then get some front & rear StopTech Stainless Steel Brake Lines for $180

Get the powerslot roters, some stainless braided lines, and hawk performance pads that should give you noticably better braking and not bust the bank.

I use Rotorpros drilled and slotted front and rear; along with Centric Posi-Quiet pads. Night and day difference over stock? No. Noticeable increase in stopping and holding power? Yes. I'd recommend these to anyone that is not heavily road racing.

+1 on the Rotorpros they have a screamin deal on rotors with Hawk pads and I've found the owner there to be very responsive and decent to deal with.
