Sway bar delete is a good or bad thing?

I am thinking of a Sway bar delete and was wondering if anyone here has tried this? If so how is it?

I do! I'm using the GMS lightweight radiator support. Bought it from UPR for like $70. Be forwarned - it only comes in blue. I painted mine flat black and it looks great.

The mod itself is easy to do. Its about 45 minutes of work. I notice barely amy difference in corners, but I've never been one to take them fast anyways.

Takeoffs feel much better. You'll notice the front end rising up a bit more.

It is a good thing if you do 1/4 drag strips but not good if you are into corner carving. I have heard that it is fine for the street but if you are taking an overpass at 70mph then you will notice a alot of body roll compared to when having the swaybar.

I think If you are into the drag strip it is a must do mod!

I guess it's $80 now - Unlimited Performance Racing Products On-Line - Sway Bar Eliminator

And like I said, its blue, not black.

Yeah, if you like the corners, than keep your sway bar. But honestly, if you never take them quick, you won't even notice a difference. Steering feels a LITTLE different for a day or two, but you'll get used to it quickly. For $80 you can't go wrong!

ORRR you can buy the steeda ultra light weight radiator support which still keeps your sway bar so you lose weight and when you go to the track you take it off...just a thought...best of both worlds

i have one as well....i noticed alot more body roll but i dont mind it...all i do is 1/4 racing... it definately helps with weight transfer...that steeda piece looks good but if u are drag racing then it kinda eliminates the purpose as you wont shed as much weight.

x2 shed the weight and also allows for better weight transfer IMO

Had it off for 1 1/2 years. Never noticed a difference in DD. Nice for the track...
