I Post Entirely Way Too Much

with real tires and knowing how to use them he should have torn you up. maybe he just doesn't know how to drive it. he should beat you in the 60' leading to his win. there's always the exceptions i guess, but it's not common.
that said i have 4.10's and wish i would have gone with 4.56's. i don't have worry about gas though since it's not a dd |

Your right, there are exceptions and what i am thinking of is- maybe he got a slower 3v then mine? All cars are different and vary in hp/tq and what not.. Mine seems to run very strong for what i barely have done to it. Who knows, though. Weather it is the car itsself, or the driver somehow making an error- i beat um haha.As for DR's, since i am running 12.806@107.54 on street tires with my automatic, will DRs even help much? I get minimal wheel spin off the line when leaving at 1500rpms.. If i try to leave higher, like 2k it kills my 60ft, ET/trap speed.. Is it possible the tires are slipping ever so slightly causing me to make a crappier run? I can feel some spin but it isn't like i am sitting there lighting them up, yah know? I didn't go any higher gear wise because this is my daily driver, and i do a few hundred miles a week of highway, and some city. My job is 25+miles away of highway, thats just one way so i am happy i went 3.73s. I however did think about going 4.10s after my 3.73s but i was assured it would be a waste of money since its a small change.

I was debateing this a while ago and people talked me out of 4.10s because they said that they autos werent geared right and i tought that 3.73 was a good enough gear for me. and yea from time to time i wonder what if on the 4.10s but none the less i love them

I have 3.73's with my auto, and if I were to redo it, I would get 4.10's.
That is all I have to say about that. |

If i had the six too, i would have gone straight to 4.10s to help it accelerate a lot better. The GT with a few bolt ons + gears has plenty of power. I don't see the need for a 4.10 gear. Thats just me.

I like to 4:10 on my boosted 2v. With a Procharger the boost is there fast and is acc. like a mother! I wouldn't be happy with 3:73 I know that

I can't speak to the auto part but I debated between the 3.73 and 4.10s as well. I went with the 3.73 because like you it was a DD and I really wasn't going to the track with it or anything. With a 5 speed I can't imagine 4.10s in it. The 3.73s are a big difference and I get through gears pretty fast. You obviously don't have to worry about shifting I am just not sure in a DD if it is really worth it. Yeah you might wonder what 4.10s would be like but then again you might get 4.10s and think it is too much gear and wish you had went with 3.73s. It can go both ways really.

i just did a set of 3.73's and it made a huge difference from the stock 3.31's. My car is supercharged so 3.73's suited me the best.
