Does this sound right ?

yesterday i went to dyno tune my car (2005 GT Auto) and the numbers were such a disappointment. MY mods are: 4:10 FRPP, CAI Airaid, O/R xpipe.
i got before the tune 239.9 rwhp 245 torque after the tune 249.9 rwhp
and 256 torque. those numbers are really low dont you guys think so?
i forgot to say that its a dyno mustang but even though i feel like its still low.

Sounds about right. My manual only did 259RWHP stock. The shop said it was a stingy mustang dynojet also.

Numbers aren't at all bad for what you have.

I'm assuming you have a tune as well as the CAI? Who did the tune?

Keep in mind the gears won't show any hp or torque number gains -- they don't increase engine output or increase drivetrain efficiency. Gears just change the ratio of engine speed to ground speed and the dynos, correct me if I'm wrong here, don't keep track of ground speed. So gears won't show a difference on the dyno. Doesn't mean they don't show a difference in SOTP though!

not gonna get too much extra power with CAI and X-pipe. Numbers seem alittle low to begin with though.

What was the temp/humidity in the shop you were running the dyno on? I would expect slightly higher numbers than what are posted, but if your tune is too conservative, or the shop was hot and humid then those numbers would be accurate.

Dyno numbers do not tell all/end all. Drive it at the track. That will tell you the difference between stock and what you've done. A dyno is a tool and nothing else (If not fun) . The track is where numbers matter.

Those seem a tad low. What altitude are you at and is the venturi thing installed in your intake? Do you have a tune?
