Plastic Door Panel Replacement
got my 06 vert today. only 3400 miles and the previous owner invested in some cool mods (http://www.bostonbands.com/alex/mustang)
My only issue now is with the 'cheap' interior. I'm sure the decision to use plastic parts was needed to keep the costs low, but I want real leather at least. Anyone know where I can buy? I've searched for hours. and I'm not talking about bevels around the window buttons or small things here and there...I mean basically the entire doors. any help would be appreciated. thanks |

what i plan on doing is just removing all the panels and taking them to a local shop that does show cars, and have him cover all my panels in gray leather..then i'll pop them back on.

I came across those in my search but really want the whole door. T.M.-808, please post pics when you're done. Not a bad idea...now I have to search for somewhere to have that done possibly

I'll be getting my 20 inch wheels and tires first,so it will be a couple months...
But...any interior shop can do this job. They can even trace your panels, make some new ones out of card board then cover and install.I want a local shop to do it,so the fit and finish will be perfect...I don't want to order pre-fabed panels, then have to "make" them fit right..I want to do my dash also...

good point on the "fit". I'm up here in Boston though, not many custom car body places, but I'll ask the stereo guys I use if they know anyone. If I do, I'll let everyone know and see.
