Looking to run aftermarket fuel pumps, or Fore Precisions Triple Fuel Pump Hat? Well look no further as you will need a Fuel Pump Driver Module capable of the task. Ford utilizes a Fuel Pump Driver Module (also referred to as FPDM) to drive the Fuel Pumps, in some instances such as the GT500, Ford uses 2 FPDMs(one for each fuel pump) for maximum efficiency. Of course when running aftermarket fuel pumps, or 3 Fuel Pumps the stock FPDMs are not feasible and will not give the results desired.

For example in a 03-04 Cobra the stock fuel pumps (with no Boost-A-Pump, or any Fuel Pump Voltage Booster) draw 18amps which is plenty fine for the stock FPDM, however when you add a Boost-A-Pump or aftermarket pumps such as the Ford GT Fuel Pumps it can draw more than 20amps which is beyond the capabilities of the stock FPDM and will therefore overheat and cause it to go into thermal shutdown. Once that happens all fuel supply is cut-off until the FPDM cools down. We offer Zone 5's Stage 2 FPDMs to help eliminate that problem, but those will not work with 05+ Models, and will not work with the 99-04 Models if you are trying to run Fore Precision's Triple Fuel Pump Setup.
