charged 08 GT drag radial size?
My dad just got his car back from Car Fx here in Oklahoma and they did a great job! He got the 449 roushcharger, some suspension upgrades and slp high flow cats with JBA catback. This wednesday he will have a new rear in it with 3.73s.
He is not much of a driver so he is going to let me drive at the strip and I want to get a good time. The thing that concerns me is the car has been lowered and I'm wondering what I could fit on the back. I've got 18's so the choices would be 275/45R18...325/40R18...345/35R18... I'd love it if the 345's would go on but I'll ask before I pay 300 a tire. |

i stopped by car fx there in tulsa. told them about what i wanted to do. all they did was try to talk me out of everything. i would have never recommended them. did they recommend the roushcharger. i wouldn't be suprised if they did. they tried to talk me out of a kenne bell and forging the bottom end and going with a paxton.
as far as the tire size it will of course depend on what your wheel size is. if you have 10 inches out back i'd go with 305's or 315's for dr's. you won't have to worry about being lowered as long as you keep the stock tire height. M&H and mickey thompson both make a great dr that will work for the street and the strip, but if that's a dd i wouldn't recommend it for that area as it rains a good bit come fall and spring. either nitto's which aren't as sticky or the bfg's which are a little stickier than nittos, but not as sticky as the mickey thompson's or the m&h. the nitto will give you the longest tire life out of them all, but i wouldn't go with them from what i've heard a lot of sc'ed guys have traction issues. |

I'll be at Tulsa raceway park the 27th. I have 18 inch rims now....I'm needing someone to tell me what I can fit under the fender. Heres the link...http://www.rpmoutlet.com/mnh.htm...It would be the middle tire selection.

also how wide are the 18s thatll be your determining factor for how wide you can go. you can ut a 315 on a 9 inch wheel but nothing smaller than that. if they are 8 inch wheels just thro on a 275 mt drag radial

All I can really tell you right now is they are factory chrome 18 inch bullits... I think I might just find some old 15 inch lincoln wheels that fit my car and put some slicks on them
