Very good info! Do any of you know where I can get the specs for the comp cams stage II's? Would like to compare lift, duration etc. over the stock units.
I think I will replace my 3.55 gears with 4.10's first to prepare for a set of cams though.

Hmmmm... lets see... I'm going to need some FRPP gears, a install kit, some RP and modifier, oh ya, some more jack stands. Oh, and a magnetic base dial gauge.

you dont need "friggin modifier" with RP gear oil, it should already have it in the oil.......deffenetly install gears first, you wont regret it, an aggressive cam needs some gears to get the car moving.

You cannot beat the sound.

I have had my Hot rod cams in for about a month and it is amazing how many people at a car show want to hear the old time sound coming out of a 2006 Stang. I have not had my car dynoed since adding the cams, but the car feels much stronger overall and I do not seem to have lost any low end torque. Also the sound coming out of my Saleen center exhaust is much louder than it was before. I would recommend these cams. And by the way they were used in Off road truck racing before being available for Mustangs.

COMP CamsŪ - Cam Details
Thanks man. That will be very handy for reference. I will let you know when I'm ready if I go with the Comp cams. I'm in my planning phase right now (Blew my wad on other mods). I figure if I can get my GT off the road for the winter, I will have plenty of time and more green to go for the big mods!

Yes, 4.10's all the way. I hope to do the work myself during the off-season so I can take my time and make sure every detail is spot on.

Does Comp make thumpers for the 05+? I have never seen them in the Catalog.

No they dont have the thumper line for 3vavles.

You can have some custom comps that hit like them in a NSR cam.

i am praying for the day i get to stand next to a mustang with the FRPP cams in it, i want to compare them to my cams..........i think mine hit a LITTLE harder, if not, they are about the same........my car cuts up HARD, but is still VERY streetable, especially with a nice tune. 07stanggt, you need to get another set of these cams in a car and compare their dyno numbers with mine...........my scanner took a crap on me so i cant really get my dyno sheet online right now.

thats in the works. two cars actually i think i got one taker and im probably going to throw a set of those cams in some frpp heads and put them in my car while i send my heads away to get ported at fox lake. Your dyno numbers are great. hell even if they are 20 hp high, they are still great. with no cai or headers to make that kinda power is good stuff.
