Today I finally got to make it to out to Houston Raceway Park to test the new ZEX nitrous system I installed a week ago.

Turned out to be a scorching 90degrees+ and the track temp was 156 degrees!!

I had some traction issues but hit the 12s as expected.

This was my best nitrous run of the day. I also ran a 12.79 and then another 12.79 to back it up.

My best run on motor was a 13.28@105.76
Not bad for such a hot day in my opinion.

Everyone was running slower than expected. We had a blast though! Can't wait to go again when the weather gets cooler. Maybe we'll see a few tenths off the 1/4.

you should be low 12's i would say. did you just use your street tires. if so get some dr's. i prefer to get tires/wheels just for the track though.

That shot of nitrous should help out some with the heat/humidity. We noticed a difference on just the 50 shot we tried. We don't get any relief from the heat until October. Must be about the same for you in Houston.

yeah it stays pretty hot here. Usually it will cool down a little after 9:00.

I ran on my nitto 555r drag radials at 18psi

do you have any suspension mods? thats were i would start some lower control arms and some strange adjustable shocks, you can get the shocks for 140.00 from either jegs or summit and they are 8 setting adjustable. nice mph that shows some low 12s

better tires is a must, from what most people say Nitto's suck at the track.
Definiately should be low 12's with your trap speed.

Nice work! What hp shot of nitrous were u running? Did u spray first gear? Just curious b/c i've got a kit on the way.

I love the M&H's I have. If you order them, don't be in a hurry to get them. I ordered a replacement set June 5th and they're still on backorder. I would have cancelled the order but the 295/45 Mickey's are on backorder as well and Summit has an estimated ship date of Aug 20th. I am running on the 275/40 Mickey's right now but they are too short with my 4.10 gears.

I am running a 100hp wet shot right off the line. The nitto drs aren't too bad, the track was just hot and not prepped well...It was a Sunday evening. Fridays are usually a lot better because more people come and the track gets better attention.

I'm already running some lcas from CHE. I have other mods too look in my garage.

Menace you will love the nitrous! It is too much fun. What kit did you buy?

Joe Cram does my tuning. DynoJoe Performance PM me for a number to reach him. He is by far the best tuner to go to in Houston. He tunes Mustangs and Cobras only.

Ny-trex kit should be here within a week or so. I'm also going to get window switch, bottle heater, and probably a remote opener. Did u have any major traction issues spraying in first and second? Are u running a window switch?
