Front Fender Vents

Has anyone tried these? or anything similar? They have them on the coyote edition.....would these help take hot air out of the engine dept. or would they be a PIA (fitment and so on..)

you can be the first to cut into your fender and try hahaha...but yeah that prolly would help take the hot air out im sure cuz you have a stylish hole coming out of your engine bay hahaha

they are probably intended for looks as most of them are, but i'm sure you could fabricate them to be functional. you would have to connect them to the engine bay though. they still would however look retarded that is of course just my opinion. if you do decide to get them do us all a favor and put some neons inside them also

I think they would look good if the could be fabricated into the fender, so that it looks like part of the fender. Not a part on the fender.

Exactly! Then you can say you've twin superchargers.

In all seriousness Timber, I was looking at those vents earlier this week online, and my conclusion was they'd look decent under three circumstances:
1) on a dark colored car so they blend in a little (dark openings, dark fender paint, et cetera)
2) they not be installed along with the rest of that garish bodykit from Street Scene - way too... West Coast?
3) like the people above: no gaps in the installation.

I think they'd look good with rear 1/4 window louvers, rear windshield louvers.

That said, they ain't Mustang. Unless the vents have louvers too??

If you want hot air out and cold air in do it 60's style and take off your hood

These are the ones I offhandedly referred to: RK SPORT California Dream.

They look like they are entire fender replacements, not mounts for holes. Sorry for the confusion with Street Scene.

I think the F 150's look better, with the trim and you could locate them where you want.

I think these look nice on Escalades and Buicks, so why not on a Mustang. I'd want to be careful about the size, so it would look like it belongs there and tasteful instead of too big and in your face. I'd make sure they're functional as most of the ads only talk about the styling.

I agree with above, "they aren't mustang", classic buicks and some SUV's, but not mustang, saw some the other day on an S197, and it was not good. I think they are purely asthetic not so much functional.

Fender Vents include a cutting template and attaches with double-faced tape.

Come on now seriously guys... these are merely for show. Think about it for a second. How is a vent in that location going to vent air out of the engine bay? Your engine bay is sealed off from the fender area. Think of where you strut bolts into the engine compartment, then think straight back to the firewall, its a solid sheet of metal there. I guess I could be wrong as I dont even have an S197 nor have I for awhile now. But I dont see those being functional in any way, shape, or form...

Cutting into your fender FTL...
