2009? 2010? .... camaro? ????? Any updates??

Alright so I am a loyal mustang fan (not-owner as of yet). I am finishing school up and plan to make a new car my first purchase when I land this so called "awesome" career!

I know my limit will be around 30k give or take depending on base prices and options I just cant live without. I would really like an in dash OEM nav system if they are not junk and leather is always nice.

Anyway...is there anything new about the 2009 re-do or the 2010 overhaul? 2009 I am not expecting a whole lot which is actually good as it gives me more time to get some real money earned. Does anyone know if they are planning on changing the motors for 2009, or is the purely assumed as 2010?

Any news on the motor selections for the 2010? If they do the turbo'd ecoboost with 330-360hp I might JUST consider it depending on fuel economy. If they can bring a v8 to the table that gets decent milage I am all over that though! (5.0 still a rumor?)

I am giving ford the chance as I love pretty much any mustang (except for that crappy-mistake they called the "terminator") I ford:
1) Keeps the weight at what it is or lower!
2) brings one option with boost with GREAT fuel economy
3) brings a v8 (or at least pulls something out of their sleeve) for 350+ whp with similar or better MPG than the 4.6 (some sort of AFM/ cylinder deactivation would be nice). Assuming neither of the above make it to an M5 or M6, at least give it a tall top gear so crusing on the highway nets good MPG.
4) dont jack up the price!

The one other thing I SOMEWHAT have my eye on is the new camaro...the v6 is attractive only on the numbers page (mpg/hp/tq) but hopefully the SS model does not kick wallets too hard and stays right @ 30k to be competitive. Being ford loyal I am on their side...but it is nice to see some competition!

The G8 is nice...but I dont have kids yet so F**K that... and the challenger is decent but im not driving something that weighs over two TONS!

*does the pee-pee dance waiting for ford*

Nothing has changed for 2009 models so far. 2010 will be shown to public at LA Auto Show in November. Speculation says no new motor for 2010, will come in '11.(Hope they are wrong)

WHAT!!??! thats retarded..! You would think for SURE by 2010 they would have the new motor AND re-design complete to hold onto the market they already own now that the camaro and challenger will be sitting on showroom floors.

O well I guess that gives me well over a year+ to wait for ford... Should have all options on the challengers/camaro's out by that point as well. Dont get me wrong I am cool with a well thought-out body re-design...but no motor to match? Im not down with that...

Well shit...now im in a bad mood

2009 has the option for a glass roof, and it has the 45th ann. badges on the side, thats the only major changes.

Theres always a chance for a limited run in either late '09 or '10 for the new motor. I hope the '10 comes with the new motor as well. I dont think coming out with a new body and nothing to compete with the challenger or camaro horsepower wise is a smart decision.

save your money for couple years and in the summer of 2010 you can get a brand new mustang with supposedly 6.0 or 6.2 liter engine. saving that long you will have money saved up to mod it right away.

Only the sixes get the emblem and the glass roof is a $2000 option.

screw the glass roof... roll that bad boy and all I can picture is what little support the roof has- caving in on you with a waterfall of glass falling on you.

Ya looks like I will just sit tight on the SVTf for awhile...

Does anyone have more info on the motors at least? Or just the same rumors? Is the 5.0 supposed to replace the 4.6, and then the big 6.0-6.2 will be GT500 equivalent only? (ie...40k+) I will still keep my budget at around 30k, so stretching to 38k is not an option. I would like to spend 28-33k max so I have a few thousand to spend on mods. New wheels/tires I/E and tune will be mandatory on whatever I get (might wait on the tune/intake so the aftermarket can figure out what works best).
