ill talk to comp for you and see what they say. I doubt the specific grind that I got for silverstang would be what you want. In general you would want a cam with a lsa inbetween 112 and 115 and a duration less then .240. those cams have a lsa of 110 so there is a lot of overlap but the duration is less then 240. Comp will know better then me. If not that cam i will see what these thumper grinds are and if one will suit you. i know guys with lopey cams and blowers on 996 horsepower cars that are procharged and sprayed, so im sure it can be done, and certainly if your willing to change springs it can happen.

Other recomendations, what are your mods now?

at the same time keep in mind its not a lsa of 106, with a duration @50 of 280, so we are not talking about the worst cam you could get either. and its not like your pushing 20psi. so i will see what they say.

I just mainly want the lopey sound without having to compromise boost. I was ready to drop about $1k on some BBR stage II's with some Manley springs.

As far as mods, here is the jist: I have a 2.4 intercooled KB, 60 LB injectors, switched the Saleen UDP's back to stock ones for the S/C, got the Cold Air kit from KB, O/R H-pipe, custom Pype's M-80 exhaust, 4.10's coming asap, and a couple of suspension mods. I'm eventually going to build my block, but not yet.

BTW, I appreciate all the help. Companies/people like you def need more prop's and what not!

well on that suspension stuff i got a 15% sale on all BMR stuff for the next two weeks so keep that in mind if your in the market that quick.

Yea i know that the bbr stage IIs are working well on some blown stangs like 05kbcharged. he said it doesnt quite idle like that video so you could ask him about that.

Other then that Ill tell comp your setup and what you want and see what they tell me. Im sure one of the thumper grinds will fit your needs.

If you want some serious power and want to change springs you should look at the new SPR comp cams, they require springs and phaser limiters but are suppose to make awesome power and the stage IIs would probably be fine at 11psi. 112 lsa and the duration is less then 240.

check out the spec card on this. comp says 50+hp gains on a n/a motor with stock heads. So you would probably see more then that. it might put you at more power then you want to be on the stock bottom end. But it would have the idle you want and you could stick with that cam no matter what you did to your engine down the road.

You know what, I bought BMR's $135 LCA's and for buying the cheap LCA's as a temporary solution until I could buy better ones, I'm REALLY happy with how much they helped in spinning the tires.

But back to cams, that spec sheet is all spanish to me But if you say that cam will be good, I can trust you. You have provided me with more info than anyone else has and I'm slowly learning. I will need to get a new tune with new cams anyway so if need be I can switch out pulleys and lower the boost with my blower if I'm starting to make too much power for the bottom end. But the more I read, the more people I see pushing the stock blocks past 500 rwhp.

Let me know what you hear from Comp. I want to buy some cams ASAP! Also, what valve springs would you recommend running with them?

Those bmr arms are as good as the billet arms perfomance wise. I agree the lower control arms and relocation brackets i got from bmr made a world of difference in the handling of my stang, but i was lowered without them and that just made everything worse.

they recomend two different springs on that sheet, one set is $100 more, but those springs are heavier and recomended for blown applications so you would want those springs.

Is that the same price you sell them for or is that the normal inflated price that MFG's use?

no thats not the price ill sell them for. ill check tomorrow for my price on those cams and those springs becuase i have never sold either before. but to give you an idea the NSR cams list on comps site for 750 and i sell them for 617 to modded mustang members. comps MSRP is inflated.

Sounds good! Just get me the best set up that will give me a lopey idle similar to the FRPP's or these comp thumpers that won't really lose boost for the lowest price possible So far you have proven to be a great help and I really appreciate that!

I am very interested in this also. I would like to have a lopey idle but I plan getting the Hellion turbo kit. Perhaps if I only run 7-9 psi I could get away with it. Kinda wanted to run the 11 psi and hit that 500 rwhp mark. Dont want to push it too far with the addition of cams too you know. I dont have the cash for forged internals also yet. Keep us posted.

I see more than 450rwhp coming with a stroker, are you kidding? you think a stroker motor, heads, and an intake manifold will only add 70rwhp to these beasts? I think the right combo of parts and a good built stroker is going to lay down over 450rwhp.

I wish I did that instead of doing the S/C and just adding the S/C. Might have been a little more but now I kind of have to work backwards, with a risk of blowing the block.

with 14.5 to 1 compression maybe. The hightest I have seen from a 3v NA with a 326 ci stroker, p&p heads, comp st 2 cams and a tune was 411 rwhp with a compression ratio of 9.5 to 1

Leonard racing is building a 5.4 stroker with p&p heads, HUGE cams, and 13 to 1 compression and hopeing for mid 400's to the tire
