2.8 kenne bell or?

hey guys.. i have an '08 gt 500 and its quick but as always it can be faster lol i was looking into tossin the Eaton gettin the kenne bell 2.8L.. itd be great to get that cause the power gains would be awesome but its pricy.. since i have a Centrifugal supercharger to begin with would it be easier to just get a new blower? and what else would i need to get if i did that.. hopefully i dont sound retarded im new to superchargers lol

i dont think you have a centri because im pretty sure Eaton uses roots type. the roots type super snake makes 605. the super snake without warranty uses a Kenne Bell and gets over 700 something hp. i say go for it if you want that much power. ever consider turbos?

Eaton is a roots style supercharger, compresses air in the heads and cylinder. A KB is a twinscrew which compresses air inside the supercharger case which makes it WAY more efficient than the Eaton.

The kit for your GT500 comes complete and all you have to do is bolt it up and hold on.

Not too familiar with the 5.4L, but you may need to upgrade the injectors and you'll probably want a custom dyno tune.

I know that the 2.8L Mammoth are capable of 700 rwhp with higher boost levels.

Cool. I live in Ellicott City. Im very familar with Hagerstown use to be up there once a week on business. I had clients up there and in martinsville WV.

You ever take that car to the track or go to any mustang events?

I was in frederick two weeks ago i think at a patriot mustangs meet. There was a couple GT500s there.

get some traction mods on it.

im no expert on the gt500s but i see them run 14s a lot at that track when they are stock.

Your 3.73s will make a world of difference. Just make sure you can hook up.

Get some good meats for the back

And an old neighbor of mine did a KB swap on his GT500 (not sure which KB exactly) but it's badassss. The kit comes with everything and not much needs switched out, especially if you're not looking for too much crazy power lol

from KB website:

Kenne Bell SCT Flash Tuner and MAF Extender. Kenne Bell calibrated “RACE TUNE” included with each kit.
• Exclusive Kenne Bell Dual BOOST-A-PUMP™ included with all kits. Larger pumps, fuel rails, lines etc. not required.

I would just jump straight to the Stage 3 kit and be done with it. Make sure you atleast spring for the Dual 75mm throttlebody.

the complete Stage 3 kit is $5999 which is only $300 more than when I bought mine. Now I purchased a different supercharger and other things. I have over $8,000 just in the supercharger setup.
