trq converter EAT the hp ?

05 mustang GT ( auto ) with :

- cmop stag2 cams.
- 3.73 ratio
- headers
- exust Borlla :lala
- K&N GII
- program predator ?????????????????????????
- roush pulleys
- Meizer Electric Water Pump

I'm putting down 314hp and 311trq ( I think it's fine ) no spray

And then:

- 3000 trq stall ( TCI )
- Autolites 1 degree colder for the zex

dyno again and I was surprised 275hp and 265trq no spray

after modifying the parameters with that ( SEGA ) predator flash device it goes up to 280hp 

is true that the trq converter reduce the hp on dyno ?
Any advice of using that flash device ( predator ) ?

Chassis dynos are far from accurate. Don't get caught up in how much horsepower your car makes or doesn't make on a chassis dyno. There are so many variables that even wheel placement on the rollers can change the horsepower read out. A looser converters will use more horsepower than a tight converter because the extra stall speed is gained thru slippage. Not a big deal. A 3000 stall converter is going to be a minimal loss anyway. Your horsepower loss could be from a number of things, air temp, air density, wheel position on rollers, air pressure in tires, etc.

Ive seen this again and again.

Loose torque converters play hell on dynos.

Remember...the dyno is a tuning tool only.

+2. It might show less hp on the dyno but the real test is the strip. A ET slip doesn't lie.

I've yet to see an advertised horsepower gain be anywhere near realistic.

I concur.

The loose converters eat a ton of displayed power on the dyno, and it is just a tool.
