interior question

i have an 06 gt with the alum. dash up grade and im gettin kinda sick of it

i've been looking at dash kits online that overlay on the dash and im thinking about a red and black carbon fiber

i have the red interior leather too and i wanna keep the car mostly black and red with just a few chrome accents such as the exhaust and my pony up from and the vent trim

but i need opinions

is this a good buy???

do you think it would look good ???

what are your thoughts on these dash kits i dont want anything that looks tacky

I got my kit and truth be told you can't know how it looks until you buy and install.

I had a hard time deciding what variation of kit to get and you really won't know anything until you have it in hand. At that point you either like or don't. If you install it anyway, hopefully it'll grow on you.

Here's a pix of the one I got. I get compliments on it but really don't know if people are being truthful or kind.

True, but I think he is just showing the laying of the pieces that come with the kit. And the dark wood grain might give a similar "dark" effect.

I think it would look cool but hey, look at the tires and wheels on my car. Most people don't like them so who knows about the rest of my tastes.

I'd say it maybe sticks up a 1/6 of an inch or so. There is some material to them. They aren't flimsy by any means.

I highly recommend putting them on when it is as hot outside as possible. The softer the pieces are the easier they bend or mold around any curves. If that isn't possible a hair dryer will soften them up nicely. Just don't over do it.

You can purchase a basic kit. It may still have more than you wanted but you don't have to put it all on.

Have you look at Wooddashexperts.com?

I tried the link I had the other day and it didn't work. I haven't tried it yet today.

I just looked them up.

Try these two links.

http://www.wooddashexperts.com/custo...e.php?cat=1980

http://www.wooddashexperts.com/custo...me.php?cat=470

Those two links will take you to the beginning of the Mustang options. From there you can get a good education on what they can offer you. Mine took a week to show once I ordered what I wanted.

Have fun, good luck and we want pictures when you're done.

I think the red carbon fiber kit will look sweet. Your car is red with white stripes correct?
