BP or Shell Gas 93 octane

Ok i have been doing an experiment for the last 2 months...same driving conditions...to and from work with almost the same driving habits as i could get and close to same average temperature...

BP was the first month

week 1 : 15.6mpg
week 2 : 14.9mpg
week 3 : 15.3mpg
week 4 : 15.8mpg

Shell 93 V Power

week 5 : 17.5mpg
week 6 : 17.9mpg
week 7 : 18.4mpg
week 8 : 17.5mpg

didn't think there would be a difference but there deffinetly is...i guess shell v power burns more efficiently...that is real data..something interesting to think about..

Ford recommends BP for one reason $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ I wouldn't put BP fuel in any gasoline powered machine I owned.

Fuel

I have used BP for years, been satisfied. Your numbers are compelling though. The main reason I like using BP is they don't use mideast oil, Shell does.

BP is the recommendation and so I have been using that for three years. Besides, our stangs are American built so we need to use non-imported BP gas. Unless you want to help the enemy, then that's on you! Such as Citgo and Shell!

I would not run Shell gasoline either to be honest. I know a few guys have had pinging problems when tuning when running Shell. Switch to Chevron or 76 and pinging issue go away.
