bellhousing info?


Anyone know what the factory torque specs are for the tr3650 bellhosing bolts? And do you have to remove the bellhousin to remove the transmission from the car?

nooooo no need to remove the bellhousing. dont know the torque specs exactlybut its probably around 50-60lbs. getting the belhousing off, is well... a bitch... I had to heat the studs. and you have to seal em down again with thread sealent

just wondering... why the tranny pull? new clutch?

No, not pulling the tranny this year. I had mine rebuilt under warranty at 3,200 miles and now I'm installing the CHE torque limiters -- the damn lower bellhousing bolts on the engine side are way overtorqued for such a small bolt. I dunno, maybe they're seized.

Go the left side off, but the passenger side is not moving and almost stripped. %&#^#$@

Thanks for the info, now I know it came like that from the factory and not the service dept. at the dealer from the tranny rebuild.
