Thumper cams on the way.
3 stages out for the 3 vavles.
They require no spring upgrades but they do require phaser limiters. They are not on comps site yet but they have part #s and are shipping. |

In my ride probably not. I like my cams, they get the job done on the street and at the track and i like the mild idle they have.
But silverstang already has what amounts to the stage IIs from what i can tell from the specs. And those hit like the hot rods already, i cant wait to hear some stage IIIs or what comp calls the "motha thumper" in a car. They have a sound clip of those cams in a chevy but i dont know if its comparible. 450 lift 111lsa and duration @50 of 242 and 262. it should smack. |

![]() But we are talking about the 127200 cams that i have in my car. So as to not confuse anybody. |

A secret grind only two people know of. it turns 3 vavles into blown stang eaters and chevy beaters.

i wonder how the bottom end power on these cams are going to be. If the lope and kick in high rpm i can't imagine you would keep your low end power

APER, i lost alot of bottom end torque with my cams, but i did gain some torque overall, but it is up high in the RPM range..........we pulled my car up to 6500 on the dyno and it was STILL making horsepower, but i told them not to go any higher........my car is still pulling when it hits the 6800 rpm rev limiter, but i dont like to turn it up that high with a stock valve train.

that makes sense, how does it pull in high rpm's and when does it start to kick in?

hey Richard, do you think comp kind of "used" me and you for these cams to see how they would work in a real world environment before they started to produce them??? haha

no thats after, but that was on a Mustang dyno with hardly any other performance mods done to the car. 312 is a pretty respectable number on a mustang dyno by itself, but with the car STILL having a stock airbox and everything else, they are actually really good numbers.

I agree with that just did not know what you car had at that time. That is a really good gain then for sure. It is good to hear that you are very satisfied with this product.
PS If they mass produced these based off of you they should give you royalties.

So we can see when i know all the specs if any of them are the same. When talking about losing or gaining low end torg it is real important to keep in mind what silverstang said. His car is virtually stock other then these cams and he gained 50 hp with them on a mustang dyno. But i would say they used you. You ask for lopey nsr cams like the hot rods cams and they gave them to you. Last edited by 07stanggt; August 13th, 2008 at 09:59 PM. |
