On cold start ups they are pretty loud, once the car idles down they aren't bad at all as long as you keep the RPM's down. I think that alot of people love them and others hate them. If you are planning on a supercharger down the road I would say get something else. Since I put on the Whipple, my SLP's are way to loud. The car sounds possessed.

If I do get them, I will have to be careful around cops.

I have some pypes deletes that sound just the same... great through cats... w/o cats it'll be loud enough to get a ticket under normal driving (this coming from a guy with a 408cui LS1 motor with a monster cam, and dumped long tubes to... well, nothing just long tubes.)

I drive it around town only on days when the town is doing something special... so the police are occupied.. they probably dont mind really..... they all know I'm not that much of a trouble maker. and there impala's could exactly catch that damn truck

With stock manifolds and stock h-pipe they are not that crazy loud. i had them on for about 5k miles with that set up, I could have cared less about the cops. I actually wanted louder, put an O/R X-pipe with them and couldnt take it. it was stupid loud and had crazy drone inside.

really they sound pretty good for the price!!

I am now up in the air. I was going to buy a pair of SLPs from a seller for $210 shipped. The seller doesn't accept paypal. He only accepts moneyorder or cashiers check. Kind of a pain in the ass imo. Ninosport has special on macboom tubes for $284 shipped. That might be a better deal.

Some of the fiercest and loudest sounding cars on the street, are also some of the slowest at the strip.

Once you start them up they are loud for about 10 seconds and then they quiet down a bit. My neighbors don't mind. Get them... cause they sound so good. It sounds like there thunder as it gurgles when you lift off the gas. I just took off the SLPs to put back to stock. They make the car! Stock is way too quiet.
