CL Racer Intake


Just purchased the CL Racer Intake with tuner from Brenspeed. I'm a little nervous after reading the two previous threads about folks having problems with the same setup, but I'm gonna give it a try. One question from anyone whose purchased this setup from Brenspeed. When do they send out the email asking about your modds for the tune? Just curious.

My email came pretty quick...if you ordered it today though, they may not start your order until Monday. If you don't get anything by Tuesday afternoon, call them.

Dont let any of the post worry you on this issue. Its minor stuff and a on two specific threads concering the racer it was on cars with 40,000+ miles and they cleaned the TB and problem solved.

Sometimes when guys have had their cars for a while they are very sensitive to changes and yea, your car is going to feel different, but that is why your modding it right.

To steal a line from JPC, if you want your car to ride like stock, handle like stock and sound like stock, leave it stock.

I got a tune with tunes from brenspeed. Like you I ordered it over the weekend. If you dont hear from them monday call them tuesday morning. It will take about 5 to 7 business days to get it so look at next monday at best to receive it maybe wednesday. But you never know maybe you will get lucky and its a slow week for them.

Yeah two of those threads are mine.I got the tuner intake combo from 07stang and was having problems. I gave C&L a call and he told me to clean the throttle body. I did and its good now. Still a little dif than the stock Idle but Its in the tune I think. No codes and pulls hard all the way thru redline. Hell even when Im in to low a gear and I speed up it still pulling hard so It cant be anything wrong lol. The only thing I see now is the idle drops slower than before then sits at 1000 rpms for two or three seconds then drops down to around 700 780. Cant remember if it did this stock or not so I was thinking of putting back to stock run 87 for a tank and see how it acts then I will put it back to see what happens. It seems not as strong than last week but its proly cus im getting used to it lol. Dont read too much into my experiance cus anything I hear or feel freaks me out and Im not happy till its deamed normal or its fixed. Cant be too bad my 76 lemans had 365000 miles on it when I gave it to my brother and it didnt burn a drop of oil between changes. By the way thats original block no rebuilds. I broke a couple trannys and rearends tho lol

That idle things is normal as far as im concerned. my brenspeed tune did the same probably becuase the fan is always on.

I've noticed the same with mine. I've been running the mid grade tune on it since I got it and wondering lately how that premium tune would feel. Hell gas is less than $4 now...maybe I'll do that this week.
