i know everyone claims suspension first... but i was out practicing launches for the first time this weekend and even from 4000rpm (stock car 3.31) i dont have any hop just about 15feet of spin then it hooks. would lca's help my situation or do i just need tires.

the real question is what is your 60 foot times. but certainly tires is a better option first.

Oh im sorry, edit this, you were practicing. if your practicing for the track, rember, the street or a parking lot is not the track. You could get wheel hop at the track when you dont get it on the street. but either way some dr's are always going to help you more then LCA's.

I agree. I didn't have any wheel hop with street tires. I bought drag radials and my times improved greatly, but then I also started getting wheel hop, then I did lca's and it took care of it. It's interesting how some mods require others to get the most out of them, but lca's won't help out too much with traction alone, mainly wheel hop.

Remember much of the wheel hop starts from the track itself and it's prep, at the strip your always trying to get the most traction possible and the starting line is generally prepped in some way to help even a street tire racer. That said, inconsistencies will make what would normally be little or no wheel hop, more of a violent wheel hop. A DR'd car with no LCA's will hop like mad on a poorly prepped track. If it just flat out hooked, you wouldn't have any hop.

As stated above, the two items your looking at compliment each other tremendously. Do one with the intntion of needing the other shortly there-after.
