Saleen Super Shaker

Finally made my last college tuition payment anyway I have been wanting to go supercharged for a while but just couldn't afford it. Now that they have finally taken most of my money, I can start saving up for the SC.

I was looking at the new Saleen Super Shaker and well looks good, but do you guys think that its worth the price?? cause $7000 to me is kinda a lot. Also my car is a DD.

Now I am debating whether to get the hot rod cams (cause I love the sound) or the SC. My car is a DD and I do want power but don't want to go down to 5MPG either. Which one would be my best bet?

well you need to make up your mind on what YOU want, there is a massive price difference in cams and a blower.

I am leaning to wards the SC, but kinda hoping that the MPG's are not going to be affected that much as apposed to the cams.

im pretty sure there are people that are saying their mpg hasnt changed much with a supercharger.....i mean i dont see why it would decrease that much, unless you cant keep your foot off the go pedal

i've got a roushcharger and when you do get into the supercharger, it takes about 3 more mpg than usual. but the thing is, you really don't get into the supercharger all that much if you're making it a daily driver. you might wanna go with the cams to make it sound nasty because our cars can go pretty fast stock anyway.

JDM is looking for 500rwhp with a stage 2 kit. Also to the original poster, the mpg's won't change unless you're in boost. If you stay out of boost it will drive the same.

The TVS is very nice...I was told if I was going to build a motor, that the tvs is the best blower to go with

The TVS is still a roots style Eaton. The Whipple will be more efficient and make more power being the same displacement.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Saleen Super Shaker gets rid of the CAI. So where does the air filter go. What all comes in the kit?

So you'll need a new hood with this right or does Saleen include one?

You probably just cut a hole in the stock hood.

I called Brenspeed to see what all comes with the Saleen Super Shaker. It comes directly from Saleen, 39lb injectors. Fuel system stays stock and you could get 480HP with the Super Shaker.

If it was me I'd stick with a Stage III, IV or the Whipple HO which is about $1000 more than the Stage III
