UDP's
Thinking about getting a set of UDP's. Any one know of any down sides to them cooling, charging or anything else? Are they worth the effort? The car is a daily driver, so reliability is a must. I would think that ford would have made them that size in the first place unless they thought there would be problems.

I got the Steeda ones on my 05, no problems with charging or cooling. In my opinion it makes the engine spool up a little quicker.

Of all the mods on my car that focus solely on increased acceleration (UDPS, flywheel, driveshaft and 4.10 gears), the UDPs had by far the least effect. At the same time, they are by far the least expensive and easiest to install. I'm in Southern California, and noticed that the UDPs cause the air conditioner to take longer to get the cabin cooled-off. However, there have been no charging or water temperature issues at all.

I haven't noticed any down side on my DD. Battery stays charged, I never run the A/C (Alaska), haven't noticed any probs with the power steering. I don't know bro, pretty cheap mod and you will notice some throttle response improvement.
Just do it. ![]() Get the Steeda.
