Procharger... Or.. NOVI
I'm about to buy one or the other.. NEVER had a centuri... always had screws (kenne bell'd camaro.. which I MISS.. and buddy who kenne'd his cobra) Kenne bell is to expensive and they dont just sell superchargers w/o a installer (guess they are to worried about scaring their name from numb shits installing them incorrectly) bought my 2.8 used and made my '98 ls1 freaky strong. Thought about throwing it on my truck, but that would require a cam swap (232/238 on 112 right now... I would LOSE power installing a blower on a engine with that much overlap if you arent versed on cam profiles... because narrow LSA would bleed of cylinder pressure...effectivly making the charger a parasite... I'm making MORE than enough power with a 408 take two stages of smack... 75 in first then 125 afterwards... yes, very strong truck) in fact I just did a burnout with 6* pulled in the driveway but cant upload it because I dont have a video compressor and its 111mbs... otherwise yall would like it...
so back to the OP... yea.. so Paxton on Procharger... keep in mind the Paxton I'm looking at is the SL (self lubricating series) so it and the procharger are pretty much the same price, make the same boost, and about the same price... just wondering if anyone knows anything specific about them that I may not. I'm not supercharger expert! Thanks guys! |

I bought mine directly from them and installed it....If you buy it anywhere besides them then you have to have it installed at that shop.

I have the Paxton and love it. But the Procharger offers an easier install, quicker
step-up ratio and the ability to change the pulley's and belt without having to remove the head unit. |

Bear in mind that the centris drive more like a turbo - not much at the bottom then mental at the top end. You still have to use the gearbox if you're not to get caught out. I have the Vortech which I'm more than happy with.

thanks.. exactly what I was looking to hear. I think the SL series was designed to compete with the procharger and V3 vortech. |
