I got side swiped the other day and am getting my car fixed i am getting a new front bumper cover and i want the California Special, the dealer guy that does the estimates didnt know if it would fit the GT fenders. Does anyone know????

Sorry to hear you got side swiped, good to hear you're getting a nice little change out of looks out of it.

You mean the front fascia? Good question.

Genuine Ford Accessories

Here's how Ford apparently defines the Cali Special kit:

"Trick out your Mustang with these cool effects. Constructed of rugged original-equipment material, the California Special is available in four separate kits: Hood Scoop (with drilling template), Side Scoops (with drilling template), Front Fascia (with lower grills, fascia filler, brackets, hardware and license plate holder) and Rear Fascia (with inner molding or underbody shield)."

They have installation instructions in the Technical Specifications sections as well. Shows uninstall of the OEM GT fascia too.

The people at dealerships tend not to know anything unless they've had 1st hand experience with it. I swear, if half of any given dealer's staff spent 1 paid week reading through this forum, they'd be a much more valuable asset to the dealership and their customers.

I dont see why it wouldnt, there is no different b/w the cali spec and GTs fenders, hood, grill or lights ( at least the part numbers are the same ). So I dont know why it wouldnt fit...

yes it will fit, there is no difference between fenders or anything else really.

I think you're stuck getting the bumper cover thru the stealership

...thats not a usual "take-off" part like wheels and spoilers and stuff!

Mustang Front Fascia Body Kit - Style: Primed, Available for GT Only - Years: 2005-2008 this one is 399

i bought the rear facia from them and shipping was only 15 bucks if i remember right. i got lucky though and it was on sale at the time. if you do order it i'd call and ask if it's on back order or not.
