Horsepower TV....TVS Roush S/C

Did you guys watch Horspower TV today? They had an 08 Roush. They pulled the engine and put Roush's new aluminum short block with forged internals. Then they bolted on the new Roush TVS supercharger. It only made 440 on the dynojet. Kinda disappointing. I know they could get alot more out of it though. They took it for a drive and it whines real nice.

What really pisses me off about the Powerblock is that they barely ever finish projects and when they do they take it for a test drive for like 5 minutes.

I watched the show, and I think something went wrong on the dyno. It made a really weird rattle at the top end, and they only showed one run, and cut away to commercial real quick.

My buddies 6speed 99ta has stage 3 ported ls6 heads, and an lq9 cam. Does 441 and 400. Traps 118 all motor. Gotta love ls1's.

why does he have a tiny truck cam in a car with worked heads? I doubt a cam with 196/207 and .469/.479 on a 116 makes more power than '99 ls1 cam (which is bigger with more duration at 199/207 and .472/.479 on a 117)

just dont understand why he would have put a truck cam in a car with heads that flow 290 cfm (assumning they are PRC stage 3 ls6 heads) @ .500" on lift..

I would have left the stocker in myself. more even idle and more power. 440 horsepower seams outragous for a head swap (since the cam is smaller than stocker).

the polluter is made by trick performance.. its a 24x/24x .61x/.61x on either 110 or 112...

its a race cam for max ci high cr motors. it really isnt that new of a design.. and they still wont release exact specs unless you buy it.

torquer has become VERY well respected for big ci lsx motors..

tsp has them for 369 bucks....fly cut not needed.

then again.. I run a v.3 at the track on a 112... (keep the v.2 on 114 in the truck so wife doesnt know)

ya ive noticed they never show the tuning phase of thier builds. i would bet it the average joe where to bolt on that kit and didnt tune the ecu, theyd blown the motor
