GT500 new order help

Hello, all
It's been some time but I'm about to trade up on a new 09 GT 500. I seem to not be abble to build my own via the Ford website. I dont wish to wait and buy one for a stupid amount of money from the dealer. I want to pay base around 43K and build it up later. How can I do this and not get dealer screwed for mid 60's ? Thanks

GT500 aren't exactly selling right now so you should be able to find one at or near list. Just call around to local dealers and see what they say.

WHy do u say that ? Gas? people that guy gt500's dont really give a rats ass about gas.

Most new GT500's that I found on cars.com are all going for over list...check for used ones...some 2008 GT500's with only 180 miles on them going for list and some with like 1500 miles going for like $43,500!

Wow ! okay. Will check it out. But any idea how to really just order straight at base new ? Sit in a dark dealer room and wait for 3 years for delivery ?

I'm going to the wholesale next week and might be getting an 08 with 2300 miles on it next week. White with blue stripes. Not sure on pricing yet but I can keep you updated if you'd like

Yes, please, and if you know of anyone that just ordered new and waited please let me know. Its like its almost a secret how that ordering/waiting happens. I want XYZ gt500 09 and I will pay 43K..cmon, cant be that hard to do.

what dealer do u live near cause the one i live near lets me build and price out a new gt500 off the their site

ok this is how i found it by the dealer nearest me. first i went to their website. Roselle - Schaumburg - Carol Stream - Elmhurst - Elgin - Chicago | Friendly Ford | New - Used - Pre-Owned Ford Dealership | Illinois then i went to there inventory and clicked on build you own, then it asks you to select you model. go to mustang and go to gt-500... then build from there.. hope my directions help... i couldnt find out how the dealers out by u broke down there website *(i use to work there so i would check out the website all the time)

don't know about having one ordered and buying it for sticker price, but you can buy a new one for sticker price if you just do your homework and are willing to look around for a while. you might be looking and making many many calls across the country to different ford dealers. or you could just use the ford website and go through all the dealers inventory that way. they usually show the pricing of their cars also.

Because the car business sucks right now, well the whole economy sucks, so $45000 fuel hogs aren't exactly a hot commodity.

Ford dealers are desperate to move inventory so like I said, you should be able to snag one close to list.
