Modding the SHIT outta my GT
heres the deal i dont got my car yet but im gettin it soon its gonna be a 2005+ GT BLACK, but i wanna mod it like hell and need some help and tryin to gget and idea of wut i might need. wut do i need? AND i want it to be FAST. i want the good stuff...
Need help with all these. and if you know the average price that would be nice. 1. Supercharger OR turbo charger... wut would be best here? 2. exhaust sytem. need help here.. dual or just single? wut would be best here? i want somethin with a good loud sound... 3. Intake... was thinkin CAI... dont know?? 4. Tuner... do i need 1? i hear i do. but i know nothin about them 5. rims.. should i go 20's? and chrome or black rims? 6. subs and amps. i love this in a car. BASE!! 7. window tint, i live in cali so i can go as dark as i want on the side and back but nothin on the front. wut % should i go with? 8. body kits... or atleast a front bumper... maybe boy racer 9. springs front 1.25, and back 1. wut springs? 10. performance stick.. should i get this ahead of time cause ima bet puttin some major hp in here...? If theres anything else u suggest i get feel free to add |

Well I can answer your performance ????.Most here would agree that the Super Charger is the way to go!I like theProCharger myself(my buddie has the stage 2 on his).As far as a good exhaust goes.It really depends on how deep your pockets are!I have 1 3/4 MAC Long Tubes (Ceramic coated)on my car with a Mac Pro Chamber with the factory axle backs and love them!Only paid 385.00 for the L/Ts & 289.00 for the Pro Chamber.Got to love EBAY!!!LOL!But a set of KOOKS will run you at or over a 1,000.00. If your gonna get headers then go with L/Ts!!!The shorties are proven to be virtually worthless!Yes you will need a custom tune when you get the L/T put on!I use Diablo myself for my tuning but depending on your location you may end up using SCT for your tuning which is just fine.They do great tuning as well!A C.A.I. will help the motor breath & gain you some extra HP as well as help on MPG.Which C.A.I. you use is up to you but most say the C&L are really good.If you go with a Super Charger you won't need a C.A.I....Under Drive pullies are a good way to get some extra HP as well and I would look into the Steeda Delete Plates or something comparible since your putting exhaust on the car.They will help the motor breath with the headers.Yes the 20s will hurt your performance!Its up to you how serious you are about peak RWHP!So thats all on you but I would'nt do it to my 06GT!Two more things....Change your gears to a set of 3:90s or better!This will be by far a huge differance in your ride!Gears was the first thing I did(3:90s) & holy sh@t what a differance!Last Thing I highly reccomend is that if your going to do all this to your car then swap out your LCAs(Lower control arms) for an after market set!This will elimenate all the wheel hop which will damage your tranny & help your 60ft times in the 1/4!The list could go on & on Bro!For instance I did'nt even mention replacing your two piece drive shaft with an aluminum one piece drive shaft!Yeah Bro,the list never ends!But what I have written above will put you far & above most others on the street!I know this because I've done all this stuff to mine excluding the super charger.Instead Im spraying a 125 shot of NOS.These cars are true platform cars for drag racing!You just got to decide how far you want to take the car!GoodLuck with your ride!

ok first y the supercharger. i hear turbochargers have less lag... and for the exhaust i got some paper im lookin to spend some good money to sup my car up...
but wuts the prochamber and wut r KOOKS? havnt heard of them... and im kinda new to the car stuff. but hoping to be a pro.. and L/T's wut r those and the shorties are suppose to be worthless? y? but dont u have to get shorties with a turbo charger? or is it supercharger? also if i go with a supercharger is it good to get a CAI or is it just useless? aight so i think ima go with 18's but how much will 20's change my ride? and gears... i dont know alot about them. so u say i got with 3:90s or better and wuts better..?? cause im willin to put some money down cause im jus a kid tryin to have fun... ![]() LOWER CONTROL ARMS...??? dont know wut those r???? and about tuning.. do i got to buy a tuner???? and wutever sugestions u got... also changing my two piece drive shaft with an alumnium drive shaft... wut r those? and how does it help my car..?? lol turbos are the ones WITH lag
l/t's are longtubes. and shorties arent useless they are much better than stock exhaust manifolds. and if you get a turbo setup then you get shorties, for the most part get 4.10 gears. an aluminum driveshaft is lighter.

Here's my opinion.
2. GT's are dual exhaust if you want obnoxious loud, then SLP mufflers will do it. 3. If you are going with a supercharger kit then you will most likely get a CAI with it. I know my Kenne Bell did. 4. SCT XCalibrator2 is the tuner to get and you DEFINITELY need one for your car. SCT has a new product coming out now called "Live Wire" it's bad ass. 5. I wouldn't go larger than 18" rims unless you want to take a performance hit. 6. Kicker Solobaric or some JL Audio. I went with a 12" Solobaric. 7. Black car, I'd take the tint as dark as it will go. 8. The GT500 (New Cobra) has a sweet looking fascia, but there are A TON of choices here. 9. Eibach Pro on the springs. Dropped mine about 1 1/4" in front and 1.5" in the back. 10. Pro 5.0 short shifter -or- Steeda Tri-Ax Good luck and enjoy your new whip! |

thanks awhole lot L33T that help alot. but im still confused between supercharger or turbocharger.... i dont know.... and for the speaker system like how many of wut should i buy?

Supercharger or Turbocharger is purely a personal choice.
If you can find someone who has a Supercharger and someone who has Turbo'd car ride in both of them. The debate is endless really. SC or TC just get boost you will freaking love it. |

as someone else said, Turbo or S/C, both give you Boost.
We build some nice TC cars and some equally nice S/C Cars and it is an endless debate on which is better. It really all personal choice.

2) On exhaust, performance before db count. if you want something really loud, just remove the entire exhaust system. 3)20" on a mustang is sacraligious. Your not driving a fucking escalade 4)Sound system slows you down, and its spelled Bass. 5) and if your going to get a body kit, get a NOPI alluiminium wing while your at it, to match your chrome tail lights and GT-R badges. 6) If we over-night parts from japan, it'll be running 9s. |

1) it is 'isn't' not 'isnt', it is 'sacrilegious' not 'sacraligious', it is 'aluminum' not 'alluiminium' 2) a loss in backpressure from removing the 'entire exhaust' could hurt the motor if not tuned properly? 3) 20's actually don't look that bad on an 05 gt, the wheelwells are so much more rolled than previous years. 4) gotta have tunes, and you capitialized bass but not Japan or Honda? 5) friends don't let friends drive rice. 6) this is what it takes to make a 8-9 second stangs

come on man,is this for real?Do you know anything about the 05+ cars,i get this from your questions,specifically,"single or dual exhaust"How about you get the car,learn the car some then ask the question.For the record,the car runs mid 13.s stock.
