For all you Nitrous/Suspension/Tire guru's
I have sadly been treating my pony unfairly. I neglect it more now that its not my DD and don't spend money and wrench time on it because the racers in my area were becoming boring. Things have now changed and I miss getting dirty up till 2am on the weekends under the hot hood of my beautiful black pony. My question to the Car gods, Car Geniuses, and forum members alike is:
If i plan to add a 100 zex kit to my 06 after suspension and tires. What suspension kit/setup should I look at. Also what tires? Finally besides purchasing the full kit is there anything else I will need or tricks to know. Maybe warnings. Open to all facts and help. Opinions are welcome to. Reps will be spread for useful info.

Well I personally like the BMR and CHE products. You will definately want the k-member brace and torque limiters. I have the CHE double adj. lowers and upper. Dbl Adj. Panhardbar. BMR progressive rate springs. CHE anti squat brackets. BMR sway bar delete, K- Member and A-Arms. So just some suggestions. I have not gotten any shocks or struts so someone else will have to answer that question. Also I have 305/35 MT ET street radials. In my opinion these are the best DRs money can buy.

I could make up a kit for you. ^^^BMR or CHE is good. I have CHE parts on sale right now. Depending on how much you want to spend, I recommend springs/struts/shocks, lower control arms, relocation brackets, UCA, Adj.UCA mount, Adj. Panhard bar... thats good place to start and easy to do in the garage as well.

+1 on BMR and Che, those are what I will be going with when I get to suspension. I have heard bad things about Nittos, but I love mine. My baby is still my DD and the Nittos do quite well in the rain compared to most other performance tires. If it isn't your DD though, I have to agree that MTs will probably be your best bet without going for full slicks.

I used to use alot of the CHE stuff, but we've gone back to using the Metco suspension products.
On my personal car, I run the Metco Anti squats, metco billet lowers and that is it. My car hooks deadly to the tune of consistent 1.45-1.50 sixty foots even at crappy tracks with no prep. The biggest addition I did to the rear was the QA1 adjustable shocks to help dial in the rear suspension. As for Tires, you are not going to find a better hooking drag radial than the Mickey Thompson's. Now keep in mind that with tire's, bigger is not always better. I run a 275/60/15 now but have a set of 325/50/15's. The 325's allow me to hook harder, but slow my ET by almost a 10th. The 275's take a little more effort to dial in on tracks but allow me to run my car with 4.10's through the traps around 6500 to the tune of consistent 10.6's. My car is only equipped with the LCA, Anti squats and the QA1's.......Nothing else suspension wise. I do run different front brakes, but that is because the stockers were getting scarry running through the traps at 125-130 MPH and having to make the turnoff's at different tracks. Sandtrap was bit close a couple times and I didn't like that. This is a broad question, as everyone has their favorite maker of parts. The BMR stuff is great, I use their K-members and control arms, CHE is good as well, we use their torque limiter's on 5-6speed cars ALOT. I would try and stay away from an adjustable control arm if you are not seriously racing the car or have it lowered. These cars don't like "squating" off the line, so we use the QA1's to "push" the car down on the tire on launches. After 5 newer '05-'08 Mustangs though, I always go back to Metco's LCA and Anti Squat's for the best setup and no noise, but a must for all track cars is the QA1's, They will help more than words can express when dialed in on the track. Hope this helps.

The Transmission catch can is a Must for Automatic cars. Our automatics have a vent tube that runs from the rear of the trans to the top of the bellhousing. When Line pressure is increased in the tunes (for firmer shifting) the trans gets a bit hotter and "vents" some trans fluid out the tube. I first noticed this on my 05 when taking it to the track and then parking it in the garage at night. I would have a small spot of trans fluid on the floor. I took that trans out 4-5 times thinking it was the front pump seal or something. Finally figured it was "venting" trans fluid out of it. Since you can't add any without one of the bigger trans pans (that hang WAY low) or going to the ford dealer to get it filled, we came up with a "catch" can with a hose to run down to the vent. Now the fluid "vents" up the hose and it gather'd in the catch can. Once the trans cools off, it drains back into the trans. We added a small vent cap on the catch can to add fluid as well. Here are a few pictures of the can and the trans. Here is a picture of the transmission. Notice the rubber line running from the back to the top of the bell Housing. That is venting fluid into the bellhousing under hard acceleration. ![]() Here is a picture of the entire kit. Here is a picture of the can mounted nest to the battery on the firewall. Hope this helps you.

You know Ive only been a member for a few days now and from what Ive seen Qwik48r every thread you post up on you start a fight with someone. You are a fucking idiot. If you read my post I said this is what I have for my car. I was simply giving him some options. LCA and UCA are in there as well. You need to just keep your mouth shut if all your going to do is start shit on every thread. You couls have simply posted LCA and UCA without targetting my post. Some of us are on here to help others out not stir up stuff all the time. I know quite a few members on here that feel the same way I do about your attitude.
