Spark Plugs?


just finished the nitrous install now im about start to change the plugs. just wondering if i have to gap the plugs? is there any other tips i should know about?

Be very careful removing the old plugs!!! They break/shear very easily. If you break the insulator it can fall into the engine. I sheared one of mine off, then I sprayed penetrating fluid on the rest and let them soak...then sprayed some more. The rest came out with no problems and I used a 1/4" easy out to remove the sheared one. Yes you do have to gap the plugs with one of these...
Spark Plug Gapper 3V Mustang (05-08)
You can find them for less though...I'd try Derek at D'Agostino racing. I think they have the best price on them.
Also, make sure they are the HT0's so you won't burn the ground strap off.

i seen the pic, now how exactly to you gap them? and what do you gap them to?

Yes the tool is hard to come by, however if you know what you are doing you can use large channel lock pliers. You just have to be very careful but it works the same way. Also to gap them you need a feeler gauge.
