Yeah, that's all I really meant. I re-read my last post and it seamed as if I was being a jerk, I didn't mean it that way, and I apologize if I offended anyone.

Not a Jerk. I have tougher skin than that. I completely understand where you are coming from, and would feel the same way if someone built a car and try'd to pass it off as an original.

As a Roush 428R owner I say put that hocky stick on your car without the 427R. I have the hocky stick on my 428R but I think the 302 boss style stripe looks better, IMO.
LeeU

PS.... I saw the hocky sticks gost flamed on a 428R on a black car, that looked tuff.

They didn't even Make a GT500 in Scream'n Yellow, That should have been the 1st clue, the second was the Motor being alot smaller and being topped with a Saleen Blower.

But I know what you are saying. People Pay for the name and the prestige of owning a certain car, and get their feather's ruffled when someone tries to Copy it and say it is one Originally.
But you did yours right. To many people just do the badging. So say he puts the 427R stripes on & some camaro beats him at a stop light to stop light race. Now the Camaro guy runs to all his friends & says I put a whoppin on a Roushe 427R!! Makes the rest of the real 427Rs look bad.
Just my 2 cents.

07-08 Roush 427R is a poser, it doesnt have a 427 under the hood..
Seriously, that is for sure a strange choice by Roush. What were those guys at Roush smoking when they decided it would be cool to put 427r or 428r on the car? Its a 281, no? Seems pretty goofy badging the car with the "estimated" crank horsepower, which apparently they are just trying emulate the old Stangs badged 428 etc but those cars really had those cubic inches.

Here are some shots of it. It was a Feature car in the September/October issue of Ford Builder Magazine.

Instead of the 427R I seen somewhere they changed it to GT. At the time I did not think much of it and Now that is what I want. the Hockey stick (Good wording to started that)stripe and have GT at the top. I have been looking every where for it but can not find it a second time. I even had it priced from a Vinyl place and they came back with a quote over $200. Seemed to be a lot of money for just little stripes.

Just for comparison the stripe kits for the shelby GT500 if bought from Ford are over $1500 for the set!!!!!!!

On our Yellow one, we had them painted on and the cost was much more, but I don't have to worry about them pealing or tearing in 10 years!

o no im not going to put 427r on it i want to put my 328 on there, i bought the stage one and it has 328 on the side where the 427r would be and i just like the "hockey stick" look... i look down on ppl putting stickers that say they are roush which arnt, no offence just my opinion. and ricers that put like 100 diffrent company logos on thier cars when they have completely stock engine, really pisses me off.. mine was signed my jack roush personally so i know its real.

ive never heard of 328 either but im going to stick with it... its probably close to the horse power i have
thanks for the replies. i will never pretend to be a 427R

even when later on i put the roushcharger and suspension, im still not going to call it a stage 3, because it would dilute the stage 3 production numbers

Hey tk5075! I've looked everywhere for the hockey stick stripe for you and I can't find it either. I've tried Stage 3, HillBank Motorsports, Google , Google Product Search, Roush directly, and still haven't had any luck.

I'll go gloss black just for the ease. Hows about hood/body stripes..what does everyone reccomend off that site? I'm thinking 12" or the superstripe hood only. Although I don't know if I want to change my hood or what.
