Which Octane?

might be a dumb question but I can't (easily) find an answer on google. Which gas grade to use?

I had a 93 Gt and recall when using low grade gas I could feel the power loss and hear the gas "popping" so I just started using 93

is 91 just as good? I have the diablo tuner on it's way and have seen "tune for 91, tune for 93" but don't see details. more power with the 93 tune?

I don't usually care about gas prices but also don't want to waste on 93 if 91 is going to be the same for my GT

thanks all!

thanks. so if I did use the 93 tune, I'd need to use 93 octane always...but i'd get more power?

The 05+ stangs are tuned for 89 octane. It's not like the GM OBD-2 PCM that adjusts the timing per grade octane your using.
When folks put a cold (i like to say fresh) air intake, they usually require a tune from a handheld tuner, this will also download a 93 octane tune, this really wakes up the car.
