Heard nothing but negative things about THR....
Have you thought about trying a Whipple? I've seen some amazing numbers out of the HO kits on 05+ cars.

Do you want low end torque from a twin screw or top end from a centri.
Here are some complete kits from Brenspeed Paxton & Vortech

look around and you can find a procharger tuner kits for around $3800... thats everything including 2 core intercooler without injectors and pump, tuner...
twin screws cost a lot more.. Also check out Turbonetics kit for the 05 ups.. They make huge numbers off 8.5lbs of boost... turbo is the way to go because you can be in boost at lower rpm... then scream up top. best of both worlds if you ask me. |

Okay so this is def a stupid question but are there any forced inductions that allow me to continue to use my current cold air intake instead of the mass air that usally comes with a force induction kit

uhhhh Saleen superchargers... but most of the kits come with an intake... and you can sell yours in a day at the right price.
dont let your intake stand in the way of getting the blower you WANT. now, are installing it yourself? if so, so twins are a little trickier than centuri's. |

not sure bout the topend or low end thing... just was growing kinda bored with her, so thought i'd liven it up a little. only leaning towards the paxton as they are self lubricating, same with the vortech. don't wanna punch a hole in my oil pan if i can all avoid it. think i'll also stick with the 120 hp version vs the 170 as its cheaper and i really don't drive it all that much. thanks for the replies

most of the centuris are going to self lubricated now though usa. procharger has SL, vortech has the new V-3 and paxton has 2200 HO that is SL

To answer your original post, I have purchased both a procharger and exhaust from Texas Hotrods and have nothing but good things to say about them. They were very nice to deal with, excellent deals, and fast shipping.

check out Brenspeed and give seth a call in their parts service department(push 2 at the menu). He will check out what you want to do with your car and then tell you whats best.

I installed the Paxton Novi 1200 SL, this is te non intercooled version and it makes pretty decent numbers. 412 rwhp with 374 on the torque.
The install was pretty straight forward and only took me about 6 hours total, the stock tune that comes with it is Ok, whe Dynoed it had 343 at the rear, my tuner tweaked it and got 382 at the rear, then I installed some delete plates and a aluminum flywheel and now pump out the 412. Definatelly alot more fun to drive and this is my daily summer driver, stll get 20 mpg on the highway. |

Well remember most of these places are giving you a very safe tune, and rate the HP at the crank. My tuner told me 412 is a real good number from that kit.

There are several things to consider when choosing a Power adder such as a Supercharger.
Procharger's are nice but require high RPM to get boost and power. These new 3V motors love RPM's, but procharger's are known for tearing up belts ALOT. Centri's are all very good units, but before I purchased one for my personal car as well as my wife's, I weighted all the options and picked the Saleen Supercharger. We have both been running over 500 to the wheels for over a year and a half with no problems. Right now I am also looking at the new Roush TVS2300 Supercharger as it will allow more boost than the Saleen. If I had to do it over again, I would still go with the Saleen for the wife's DD, but for my car which is for just Drag racing and testing, I would have gone with the Roush TVS2300 for more boost with the built motor. The installation of these 2 supercharger (saleen and Roush TVS) are both very easy to install. Installation looks factory, as Most of the Centri's don't look like a factory unit and usually cause Overheating issues here in the Southern states with the placement of their innercoolers. I know for a fact the Procharger unit is a big innercooler and also when using the HO kit, requires the removal of the factory fan and installation as well as re-wiring of the new fan to be installed.
