Making my garage my workshop
Anyone know where you can buy a cheap and realiable ramp or lift for your car that I can put in my garage. I want to be able to do all my exhaust work myself. Or can I just use the car jack to tilt the car up on one side and do the work like that? Let me know what you guys think and from anyone who has done exhaust installs how'd you do it?

If you are just doing axle back, a jack will be fine (just make sure to use jack satnds as well). very simple install, takes about 20-30 minutes. Remove old muffler and tailpipes by removing only one clamp, unhook the hangers and you are ready for the new.

yea. or, for even cheaper you can make your own out of plywood if you have any around the house. there were instructions on how to build them on another site.

I installed my Flowmaster axlebacks without even using ramps (in the rain and under a friends carport)...sorry, I just couldn't wait when they came in!!! There were four main hanger bolts, with two in the rear and two in the front. The bolts closest to the rear were easy but the ones near the axle were a snug fit. I was begging for a set of the Craftsman flex ratchets for this installation!!! Took about an hour to replace the exhaust but well worth it!!! I love the sound of the FM exhaust!
