guage pods
I'm looking for a dash guage pod that will look like it came stock. the only one i've found so far is the one from autometer. i also will have to have it wrapped and stitched in leather to match the dash as mine has the optional leather wrapped dash.
are there any other pods that will look like it was built for the car other than that one and anyone know of a place that can do the leather wrapping with the ford factory leather. websites would be appreciated, but not needed. |

I like the Roush vent pods, they still allow air flow and are not up on the dash or pillar for everone to view and know you have something in your car worth stealing!!

And there is another one that is in the GT500KR. I can't find the link for it though.

I havent found any I like better than the SOS Gauge Pod and it looks factory enough, I went with the drill version not the generic looking one that runs wires across the back of the dash.
As noted by the pics...I also like the Roush Vent pods too..

i think i like the autometer one a bit more and it's cheaper. the think with the sos pods isn't that they aren't a good product, but you couldn't have them covered. i have the optional wrapped and stitched dash and want to do the same thing with a center mount guage pod so it would have to look like it was part of the dash.

I like these, they are from Roush. I have them in my 428R.

looks like that removes your use of your center a/c vents and as i've stated i'm looking for the dash mounts. i do like the look of it though, but being in the southern states it's way to damn hot to take away a/c vents or even obstruct them.
so the question still remains. does anyone know of an absolutely amazing interior place that would be able to copy the factory wrapped stitched dash with the ford factory material onto the dash pod |

This isn't a good photo, but I've got the SOS non drill center gauge pod. It fits like the other one mentioned on here but stretches back to the defroster so the wires go down through there. I really like it and it clips into the defroster in the back and uses double sided tape in the front. I can get you better photos if you need them.

thanks pastor, but i couldn't use the sos pod. i'm almost definitely going with the autometer one unless someone comes up with a different center pod that looks factory that can be covered

Bob, The only back draw I see to the Shelby piece is the size of the gauges, those are some big gauges. Having worked on a few KR's, I can say that they are very big and stand out very much there on the dash.

well they do have one that doesn't have precut holes. if i got that one i could use the
2 1/6 gauges. you think that's a better option. |

I do, Smaller gauges in the center dash are always a plus in my book. I want to be able to see the road not the the gauges then the road!

I have the autometer one. I like it but it is a little big when sitting on the dash. I am thinking of going with the CDC one
