Personally I think its a waste of money. For one manual shifting the auto is slower because computers are more efficient. I sometimes manual shift my auto just for fun. Also the stock auto shifter already locks in a drive so you dont have to worry about going into neutral or reverse. I just keep my hand steady on the shifter with support of a couple fingers at the bottom.

And from what I've seen, it really doesn't even exist yet.

I have a B&M ratchet shifter in my 71 stang and its super fun to bang up and down the gears. its the same as a tipTronic just mechanical. I am waiting for the price to come down to around $300 then i will get one. Trust me guys its way fun to slam up and down the gears

you can get em from Jegs... are they needed? no. A when your tranny shift points are timed right behind a good converter, you dont need to manually shift an auto unless it has a manual valve body

First thing is it is not released and not sure it will be at this point. They have had a problem trying to resolve and issue with the solenoid that is part of the stock shifter. I personally would love one for when i drive the twisty's. The stock shifter has a bad problem with going from low to third and misses shifts. This shifter would be great for that.
