If you read my 389/359 post then you know i have a squeek. After looking all day with a stethoscope, the consensus is its just the air. The manifold whistles now and there is this chirping or squeek that you hear with the lope of the cam. everything is tight, everything is greased. no bushings or rod ends are making any noise. we all agreed is just the whistleing that you hear the manifold doing turning into a chirp in the header. You can hear it a little out the tip. I dont know thats all we can figure. if thats the case, i guess i gotta live with it.

I think a cat is bad, tapping on the exhuast you could hear something moveing in there.


And finally somebody felt the vibration i feel on the highway. he said its the rear, probably the gears not installed right. He said he doubts its the driveshaft. so tuesday the cover comes off. I love that guy, im so tired of people saying what vibration. he felt it immediatley and i didnt even mention it.

it COULD very well be a valve squeeking but i think you are hearing a chirp in the headers.

Think of how we whistle. Its by sucking or pushing air past a constricted hole. Same thing could be happening during your combustion process, and I doubt it anything you need to worry about. A good friend of mine and a very reputable performance guru had a GT40 intake manifold on his turbo fox body that whistled like a vacuum cleaner, I know the car was tight. The combo produced a whistle that didnt merit any more troubleshooting just like I suspect yours Rich.
