Yeah I get the same with my Borla's.
People love to hear me wind it up through the gears.

Damn I can't wait until I get it back now.

Hi all,

I am new to this site and have some questions. What is the stock number for the Borla Stinger? Most supply houses just list Borla. My choice was between the Borla and the SLP's. Since all or your inputs', I think that I will go with the Borla but which Borla to buy?

One more question on the Borla's. Do they resonate through the cab a lot? I mean, can you cary on a conversation while driving down the highway at 75 without shouting?

i have long tube headers and x pipe no cats it is loud when cruising and you climb a hill or load your motor at a lower rpm but that is due to the headers and x pipe combo i am going to put some hi flo cats back on it to tame some of that droning is what i think that is called

CS Redfire 07:
To answer your first question, Borla Makes two versions- It depends if you want the more aggressive sound or not. Check out this link
http://www.ninosport.com/Mustang/200...-GT-Axle-backs

For your second question, I have the S-type Borla's (Commonly called the Stingers) the rest of the exhaust system is stock (atm). you will get some drone at 2000 rpm @60 mph but it isn't so loud that you can't talk. once you pass 70 it goes away and is actually quiter than stock i think. but then pick it up past 80 and the beast comes back.

Hey Kellie-27, That's my car. Give it back! The Redfire Cal. Special I think looks the best out of all the CS's. Thanks for the input. I am doing a SCT X2 tune with a CAI first then cat backs.

Are the Ford racing mufflers the same as the Borla Stingers? Anyone know this? They look identical.

these are mufflers i used and they sound just awsome

Borla Axle-back 2005-07 Mustang GT-11752

The Borla exhaust system for the 2005 Mustang GT will make everyone around you take notice! It produces an aggressive, deep rumble that will be the envy of all your car buddies. This axle-back is louder than the factory exhaust system but adequate for everyday driving.

for the SLP's not much drone at all to be honest . between 18k and 20k and thats it. i just couldnt see paying $600 for mufflers. then again i did pay $300 for straight pipes and tips. LOL. but i am more than happy with my choice.
