bump* any one with over 36k miles have this problem? or even 100k miles? I need to know if the trany will get worse or even handle its current condition

Ford went backwards when they changed to this transmission in my opinion. It is not nearly as strong as the 4r70w can be built up to be. The only thing the 5r55s has got going for itself is the extra gear and that allowed Ford to run a close ratio set-up which is the best set-up for all around performance in every gear shift change...keeping revs in the power band longer than the 4r70w can.

5R55S > 4R70W

The 5R55S can be built to handle most anything people will throw at it.

The power train warranty for offers now is 60k I'm not sure what it was when you bought yours.
