yes it should be cool. I still dont have any camber plates or camber bolts but the a arms i got were adjustable so they adjusted the camber with those i reckon. tires still look like they tilt in a tiny bit to me but it feels right and what the hell a little - camber might help me in the turns right.

you aint lived till you race a mustang on a road course. You'll feel like carol shelby himself. And the mustang is without question and without argument the best sounding car on any roadcourse unless its a real race car.
maybe ill try to get a vid next time.

the mount for the upper control arm a lot of time is what makes the clunking noise. espeically on a car with a aftermarket uca that has stiffer poly bushings or adjustable rod ends, or one peice driveshaft or anyhing that stiffens the rear up i would imagine could play a factor in that.. if you look at most UCA's they recomend changing the mount for the upper control arm when you change the UCA. The noise will come with hitting bumps or changing gears.

this is from metco site. BMR has told me the same thing, a lot of people say its the two peice drive shaft, but what it can be is that mount.
Note: The use of the Metco Heavy-Duty Upper Control Arm Bracket (MUB2005, also listed in this section) is highly recommended in applications with an aftermarket upper control arm. From the factory, the fitment between the front control arm bolt and the factory control arm bracket is very poor, and Mustang owners often complain of the resulting 'clunk' sound while driving. The addition of a high performance control arm with a firmer bushing amplifies the noise, so the use of the precise-fitting Metco bracket is highly recommended to eliminate the problem Last edited by 07stanggt; October 1st, 2008 at 01:41 PM. |

Never thought about that for you joe. You didnt change the upper control arm or the driveshaft. but maybe makeing everything stiffer with the panhard, LCA's and relo brackets has played a part in amplifieing that clunking noise. the bracket is 134.95 less 6%.

You gotta take out the back seats, but as far as I was told that was it. Gas tank stayed in the car. It was done in a driveway also

I'm lowered and have Steeda LCA's and a UCA that is non-adjustable but was designed for lowered cars (also from Steeda). I get that same clunking noise when shifting or stepping on the gas when in low RPM's (i.e., when the driveline isn't torqued up). It doesn't do it when I'm accelerating aggressively (i.e., when the driveline is wound up). I always assumed that the changes in the pinion angle, etc. when I lowered the car exaggerated the slop that was already there. It has never concerned me too much, but I have wondered if there was something I could do. I thought maybe a one-piece driveshaft or adjusting the pinion angle might do it (even though I had hoped the Steeda UCA for lowered cars would take care of the pinion angle), but now I guess a UCA mount may be the ticket?
