well idk what to do im looking for a kinda deep and kinda raspy sound and i was hopeing a off road X pipe would get me there i have the Mac axle back i was going to try it with and if it just horrible im get some stingers

also how bad is the off road pipes exhaust smell does it smell horrible where it make people mad? my dad hates exhaust smell and if he smells it he will prolly make me take it off so is it really noticable?

I dont think the smell is bad. Your plan isnt bad man, if you dont like the macs im sure the stingers will give you the deep x pipe sound you want.

and grey mac is just that way. its what they do, they will make enough product to fill their distributor orders and maybe a few more and then stop, then when they get a certain number of orders they do it again. Im not sure why, but its what they do. I guess they want the dealer and distributors to stock up. when it comes to long tubes or pro chambers, its not a huge problem becuase enough people stock them usually that you can find them But at one point i had an order for the prochamber, which i had in stock but i needed the legs. Call mac they said they had them, 4 days later i call to ask why they havent shipped, they said oh we made a mistake we are out, call pacifica, 1 week later he finally shipped them, and he shipped the wrong thing, then said he was out, boom. finally i have to go to brenspeed. brent saved the day and overnighted them for me. but i lost money 3 ways to the weekend.

MAC makes good stuff for a great price though and they are nice to deal with. they just have this philosophy i guess about manufacturing. I dont know.

Kooks on the other hand is bending me a custom cat back system, with over the axle pipes and axle backs as we speak. i ordered it monday, its shipping tomorrow, and thats custom from soup to nuts. Higher prices sometimes have as much to do with the way the business is set up as the material itself.

NO this is for someone else, the same thing i have. I love my exhuast its perfect finally. Im going to switch out the x for an h, just to make a video since the axle backs i have are not out there and no one has heard them except on my car with an x pipe. Plus i will probavly leave the H on the for winter, h pipes are a little quiter and in the winter you have the windows up a lot and it gets loud in that cabin, it will be a little tamer.

So its not custom in the sense that i invented. but they dont make that setup. its order only. So i have two comeing actaully one for this guy, one to stock. becuase with an h pipe, i know people will buy this exhuast, its gonna sound wicked, i will probably put o/r legs on the h pipe, make the vid, then put my cats back on.

with the kooks and catted X pipe can you smell exhaust fumes or will it be like stock due to the cats I canceled the order on the X pipe and thay where very nice about it im just going to wait so i can get the headers installed all at onces =]

smart to wait. I can now becuase the tune is too rich, i couldnt before. it was about 14.1 before now the dyno says 13.1 which isnt really rich but it sure smells like it.
