Contacting Bama

What is the best way to contact Bama. I've sent them emails using their website email function and haven't gotten a response. Do they not check their emails very often?

get the email address and send them an email through your email browser. sending emails through the site doesn't work very well. Calling works sometimes, but they don't have an answering machine anymore so you better hope they answer!

brent white is a celebrity... i would go with him. Douglas studdard sounds like a redneck name. J/K. If you can get a hold of bama he is a great guy. That can be a tough task sometimes though. The second time around i went with brenspeed.

I have been wanting to go with Brenspeed because their customer service is great. Have you been able to notice any major difference between the Bama and Brenspeed tunes in regards to low end torque and throttle response?

I've heard alot of complaining about Brenspeeds tunes and how they don't maximize power over the entire rpm range and most of the power is made at higher rpms. Everyone that I have seen that has something negative to say normally are running Bama's torque tune and say that it makes a much better tune for daily driving.

Thoughts?

I've never called Doug, just emailed, and I always get quick responses.

I emailed him a on Tuesday just to ask him if he'd messed around with the FRPP cams any more since the last time he'd sent me a tune (a few months back). Within 24 hours he emailed me back AND sent me a new tune, free of charge.

Doug@Bama is fucking awesome, seriously. The guy had worked his ass off for my $50. I couldn't be happier.

I was sorry each of the last few times I emailed them and they wouldn't work with me because I had a cam they didn't "support", so they won't be seeing my money in the future.

BTW...I did receive an email from Doug this morning. I think the email feature on Bama's website may have caused the delay like others were saying.

Doug usually takes a day or two to respond to e-mails. If you need him immediately, just try calling.

I've tried both BamaChips and Brenspeed tunes on my 2007 GT (auto) and now my new 2009 (manual). The BamaChips tunes are superior IMO. Not to mention, they update them for free and the tunes are $25 less. I'm not saying Brenspeed isn't a good/reputable company, but to imply they are somehow worlds better than Bama isn't really fair when you consider the details.

check my garage for my mods & dyno sheet.
I only have steeda U/D pullies & a drop in K&N
air filter with SLP axle backs. Then added the 92
octane Brenspeed tune. I feel those are pretty stout
numbers on a stingy mustang dyno.
They call it the humiliator. If you don't believe me.
Just ask 05WARPONY, he dynoed his saleen S/C 525hp
Kit & knocked out 394rwhp on the same dyno, on
the same day. I dynoed mine right after him.
Even the dyno tech (chevy guy) was impressed &
wanted to know who had tuned it.
I rest my case...

I agree i had brenspeeds tunes and dont beleive anyone via email could have gained me anymore power anywhere. with a cai, and ud's and a x pipe i was makeing 310/318. Never heard anyone complain about brenspeed either in tunes or customer service.

same thing with my dyno tuner, with the cai and ud's he said he couldnt really get me anymore and then again with the cams, headers and delete plates at 352/332 my dyno tuner said the tune was spot on and he might be able to gain a couple hp here or there but nothing worth it.

I use Bama....I know it is a PAIN to get a hold of him. And I live with it because I will stand behind his tunes any day!

I made 330 at the wheels on a mustang dyno with a bama tune.
All I had was an intake, ud pulleys, lt headers, and 4.10's.
