Making Hood Scoop Functional...
I have the roush scoop and im sick of it just sitting there doing nothing but looks....and i don't have the money to buy a new hood...SO i want to make a hole so that at least fresh air can come it and hot air has a better place to escape. My only concern is when it rains will the water fuck anything up? Ive had ice on the intake at the track and it melts and it was fine but im just makin sure..

Another thing to think about is if your going down the highway will the wind catch it and come off the hood

The new edge guys say the same thing. It doesn't do anything other than make your engine dirty.

yes you can. you have to take it off first. the stock gt's have a plastic piece that has to either be taken off and replaced with a mesh of your choice or opened up so the air will flow. i'd replace it with a billet or something similar. next you can open up your good by drilling multiple holes in the hood under the cover or by cutting a couple larger holes. under it. not sure which would be better for the integrity of the hood though. either way if you do it you'll want to use some masking tape where you drill/cut to make sure you do the least amount of damage to your paint as possible chiping wise. you'll also need to primer around where you cut because there will now be bare metal showing. considering you are cutting/drilling your hood you may want to talk to a body shop and see how much they would charge for this.
