So i ran into a little cash and i caught the mod bug again. this time i want gears. but on a thread lately...i heard some scary stuff about them whining. also, if i order 'gears', what else do i have to get with them isn't there like a kit i have to buy? Whats the difficulty level of installing gears?

I WANT POWER what else do i get?

my PERFORMANCE mods so far:

K&N cai
hurst
GTA's
strut tower brace
ford racing springs
x pipe (on the way)

by the way, i had some DOUCHE BAG srt-4 that thinks he's the total shit. WHAT DO I NEED TO BLOW HIM AWAY?????

so if i get them from like brenspeed or somewhere i just order the gears thats it? no instal kit?? and i want to install them...how hard is it? and can i use royal purple gear oil? any specific weight?

Frpp gears, install is not a driveway job. yes you can buy them with the install kit, you could just get shims or new bearings and everything.

My apologies. I read too quickly. Yes there is an install kit, and typically a new crush bearing is installed, along with the necessary gear oil and friction modifier that Ford recommends for the clutch pack in there.

I paid 600 dollars for my 4.10 install. That included the FRPP ring & pinion, the install kit, and lube.

The lube was the best part!

I think that's an extremely good choice, but I would purchase said combo from one of the recommended tuners used by our members here, such as Brenspeed, Trick Tuners, or Bamachips.
