No phasers with the comp thumpers. I personally like the idle of the FRPP. You can do the install yourself in a weekend, but you will need some special tools that you will have to buy at a Ford dealership.

I love the idle on mine, but I also have not heard the Thumpr's in person. You can see a video of mine here -

This is what was initially thought, but now people are changing their minds. Brenspeed told me that if I had a Saleen supercharger installed on my car, they would highly recommend phaser limiters. So far I've been ok, but you never know...

I wish I would have installed them myself now that I see its not too difficult. Hell, if I did long tubes (over the course of a weekend... with my cousins help), then I can do fucking anything on this car (within reason).

wasnt able to get this site for a couple hours.

I got your Pm 90. Here are some vids for the thumpr cams. Im not sure what stage Thumpr either of these vid are. silverstang has a version of the thumprs and a freind of juco's also got the stage IIIs if you want to ask them about it.

There is a write up of the install of NSR cams in the how to section of this website and installing the phaser limiters is this easiest part. They come with diretions and a little tool and they just go on the cam phaser on the gear.

You do need a tune with these cams, not really to make your car run. Silverstang drove around for a month with no tune. But you need one for the best performance and to have your VCT settings in your pcm correct. the phaser limiters limit cam degreeing mechanicly but your need your pcm also set to no more then 20 degrees for optimum performance.

the install is easy, the phaser limiters dont hardly take ANY extra time to install, its just a few bolts and BAM, they are done.........just be carefull working with the VCT sprocket, they are sort of fragile (you would have to be an idiot to break one, but just be carefull just in case).........it took me 4 or 5 hours to do my install and that was taking everything VERY slow, but im also a ford tech and have access to all the special tools (which there is only two of them)...........my cams sound awesome. they are a custom grind from Comp that Richard at Radmustangs had made up for me...........they are pretty much a prototype Thumpr cam.
