SCT for No cats...But I Have Cats

I FINALLY bought an SCT X3 tuner paired with the JLT intake from Bamachips after a long road of denial using an eBay intake tube and a fat K&N filter cone. I also ordered a pypes o/r X pipe so i told doug at bamachips that i needed a tune that either gave the computer a false O2 reading or just shut off all readings from the 02 altogether.

Question: If i switch the mid pipe from cats to o/r, will that F' anything up?

There should be a way to adjust that in the tuner. RTFM on the tuner, and/or give Doug a call.

Not sure what your question is exactly. I can tell you that im running a tune now with the rear 02 sensors turned off but i have cats. When they dyno tuned my car they turned the rear 02s off. Im not sure why, didnt ask them to but it doesnt cuase any issues.

99% of the tuners out there shut down the rear O2 sensors first thing. There is not problem running cats with them turned off.

I have a ton of Customers running cats and I turn the rear O2s off and no problems. The only problem we run into is that , here in Texas when you go to get a State Inspecion sticker, the machine hunts for readings from the rear O2's and we have to turn them on to pass inspection.

^^ thats what i was worried about. i've got an inspection in november...but i would like to have one of the 'dummy' readings from the o2 that will trick the inspection computer into thinking there are 02's and in proper working condition. worst case cenario: i have to re-install my stock H and reload my stock tune...then the next day switch to my o/r X pipe and re-load the race tune...GAY

No worst case is your tuner makes the changes to the O2 settings and that will allow you to pass inspection.

My 10 second '06 passed State inspection at a DPS Testing Facility last Month. You should have seen the look on the DPS officer's faces when it passed their computer test as well as the not needed sniffer/rolling test.

I took it there to make sure all my settings were correct to pass Texas State Inspection.
