California legal exhaust setup...

So, I live in San Diego and Im wondering what would be the best sounding and performing option when it comes to exhaust for a 2005 GT. And still be legal by CA standards. I know long tubes are out of the question but what mid-pipe, and how many cats do i NEED?

I have had Flowmasters before on my Jeep and loved them...but that was a 4.2L straight six...and I havent heard them on a 2005+.

Thanks
Mike

SLP loud mouth axel back exhaust man. legal in all 50 states. Get the x-pipe too. It will be loud as all hell and eliminates some serious back pressure. Bassani is pricey so if you want sound without emptying your wallet go SLP

Thanks for the info. Ive seen some pics of exhaust systems w/ like 6 cats...do you know how many are needed to be legal in CA? Will the bassani x-pipe w/ cats be all that I need? Also anyone know how much HP I can expect to gain from an x-pipe w/ bassani or flowmaster axlebacks?

you might loose a little torque. thats why you get the cai (c&l) and a tuner to compliment your exhaust some.
