Not sure with all the camo on the car, terrible colors even for a tester.

I think the car will grow on people, it's always that way on redesigns. As mentioned on Barnett the lower grill opening appears excessively huge.. Have to see the thing in tasteful paint with no cover ups and then pass judgement.

Personally, I like it. I like the angle on things rather than everything flat and squared off... Anyone heard anything about what powerplant they are going to run in that thing?

In 2010 it looks like the powerplants will be the same in all models as previous years. A small HP bump in them though. The 5.0 will not come until 2011 in the GT with 400HP.

I'll second this. I like the roof that draws further back on the car.

looks like the s197's but gayer to me

although I do have to remember, when the s197's first came out i absolutely hated them, but then they grew on me. I guess it just doesn't seem like much of a redesign to me.

Ford disappoints me lately....

Just pissing away the S197 Performance car in every way..... Stop using that Snake!

There is no point in trying to keep a model above the GT.

Lighten the fucker up, GT500 is a joke. New designs look like crap. Fire this Asian guy designing an American muscle car already. What happened to Aluminum blocks in the performance model? Oh wait handling doesnt matter anymore. Neither does weight.... just push the horsepower numbers! Hell the Termi was faster without the cubes and even subpar IRS.

I'll stick with my 97 Cobra from an era where the cars had style, and was more of a platform than a poorly finished car. I dont want a cheap blower, I dont want mandatory "stripes" that every V6 also decided to get. Make it unique to the performance model or get rid of it already.

Now its just bs advertising numbers that look good on paper.... They no longer make a car that can be "upgraded" into a race car like the good old days. They have iron blocks and can make the power, but nothing else resembling a race car. I'd take a GR-40 SN95 ANY DAY!

Now they just appeal to posers that should be driving the V6 with their scoops, racing stripes, and pretty color changing dashs..... They want looks not performance. Dont tarnish the whole lineup for these fools.

Until it weighs 3400lbs or less it belongs on paper.

i know you guys say it will grow on people but really the shape of that rear doesnt flow right... i was thinking about trading my car in for a 2010 but if thats the final rear bumper im sticking to my s197. the way they thinned the lights out and made these awkward concave anngles on the bumper just look wrong...

That's a really bad tail. Does that resemble anything sold aftermarket today? Nobody's interested in going back to the Megaman days of our youths (or the 350z's of present).

I hope the new wheels look good, the ones on the current GT500 are hideous IMO.
