is there a paint code or something i could take to home depot or lowes so that they could give me the exact same color as the mustangs that come out of the factory? like torch red for instance

and that's a cool site. Interested to see if the paint is actually a perfect match from somebody that used this site. The problem is fading that has happened with the car over time but hey what do I know.

If you're looking for your paint code its usually in the door jam.

What are you doing with paint from lowes or HD? If its going on any car parts or the car I would suggest not to do that with lowes or hd paint

Yea I wasn't aware that Lowes and HD sold car paint haha.

Try PaintScratch Touch-Up Paint (rs), Spray Cans, Spray Paint, Paint Pens, Car Paint, Automotive Paint always have had nothing but good results from them and have heard nothing but good things

I think Lowes has this scanner thing that mixes the exact color that is canned, so if you bring them a picture of your car maybe that would work.

yeah, i might just go over to a ford dealer, pick up a mustang brochure with the colors and do that. while that website is really good, it's also a bit pricey.
