What stock tire size california special???

Hey, My dad just bought the 2007 california special. He just asked me to ask the forums what the tire sizes are. He thinks that the shelby has the same fronts as the gt cs but the rears are thicker with the same size rim.. if this is the case can someone let me know the numbers and rim size? he wants to put the shelby rubber on gt rim in the rear, but keep the front the same

The CS has 235\50\18's all around. The Shellby's are wider. I think they are 275\40\18's. But I could be wrong. I just bought a CS too. I don't know what is the largest tire size that can be put on the rim. But that is easy to find out. Just stop in at any tire dealer and ask.

ok scratch all that, We just figured out that we have p235 on 18 inch wheels. Could we literally put shelby rubbers on our tires with no problem?? if not what can we do? what is the widest we can go front and rear and how will it affect performance

how wide is the rim? if it is 8 inches wide you could probably put put up to a 265 on there. if it is a 9 inch rim you could get 295. the shelby has 285's in the rear and 255's in front.

you could probably put 295's on the rear. i wouldn't go any wider than 275's on the front. If you want to be able to rotate your tires i would just go 275 all the way around. but as i said in a previous post, if you want the same set up as the shelby, it has 285's in the rear and 255's in the front.
